Rainbow- "Street of Dreams" (1983)

You would've heard this song on FM-99 WNOR while waiting in line for a grinder at Zero's Subs in Churchland. Where have you gone, Joe Lynn Turner?

  1. This brings back awesome memories of the summer of 1984. Too poor to buy the quantity of music I craved, I liked to tape songs off of the local AOR station (this was when AOR stations played mainly metal!) and make mixed tapes. I had an awesome tape that summer featuring the likes of Scorpions, the Nuge, and Rainbow. "Street of Dreams" was one of those songs (recorded when the station played a 4-song block of Rainbow!). Did you know that Joe Lynn Turner is now in Big Noize with Carlos Cazavo and Vinny Appice? Bet 'ya they play some choice cover songs!

  2. 1986 might've been the year I started dubbing songs from the radio. Too bad we didn't attend the same school. We could've been "grits" together.

  5. Would have come in handy, since although I turned 16 in 1987, I didn't learn to drive 'til '94!
